If there is an error communicating with the Payment device, the Verifone connection most likely needs to be re-paired.

First, try the following (in order):
- Void current transaction and logout of mPOS
- Press and hold 1+5+9 together on the Verifone device for 3 seconds.
- On the next screen, Enter '166832' as the password and click on the green circle on Verifone pinpad to get into the sysmode. Select the 'Reboot' option from there.
- Once Verifone comes back on the welcome screen click on Reset MPOS which is an icon on the desktop.
- Log in mPOS and test
If the above steps did not fix the issue (note in the ticket that the store attempted the steps above), then the Verifone connection most likely needs to be repaired by notifying IT Service Desk.
