"The local security authority cannot be contacted" while attempting to log into AX

If you receive the error message "The local security authority cannot be contacted", this indicates that your password has expired for the account that you're attempting to log into AX with (i.e. hford@shinola.com, harry.truman@filson.com, etc.). This is typically remedied by changing your password on your computer using one of the methods in the following article:
