Getting Started with Microsoft Skype for Business

NOTE: Please note that Skype for Business is considered deprecated at Bedrock Manufacturing in favor of Microsoft Teams. While SFB is still supported, we highly encourage you to use Teams whenever possible.

Microsoft Skype for Business (previously known as Microsoft Lync) is Microsoft's legacy business chat software. While Microsoft is intending to replace Skype for Business (SFB) with Microsoft Teams, SFB is still supported here at Bedrock, and while it is not configured for everybody by default, all employees are welcome to hop into SFB and use it with other SFB-using colleagues/vendors.

The setup and configuration of SFB is relatively simple, however, you will more than likely need to generate an App password in order to log in.

Once you've signed into SFB, you can add your colleagues to your contact list and begin chatting right away.

Again, if you require any assistance whatsoever, please don't hesitate to reach out to us at support.bedrock.com.
