No cost rollup is found for this item. Activate the item cost price.

When attempting to post a Product Receipt or Post a Packing slip in AX, you may encounter the following message: 

"Item: x Configuration=x, Size=x, Color=x ,Style=x
No cost rollup is found for this item. Activate the item cost price
An error occurred during update"

This means there is no Cost activated for this specific Variant.  This can be validated by reviewing the Variant in Released products:

Navigate to:

Product information management/Common/Released products

Filter on the item listed in the error message

Select the Manage Costs tab and then select Item price

 

On the Active price tab, filter on the specific variant listed in the error message.  There will be no records visible.

To get cost activated:

For Filson (FCO & FMG), email costing@filson.com  

For Shinola (SDT), email AXMasterData@shinola.com

For Bedrock BV (BBV & BUK), email jchew@bedrock.com

Be sure to include the exact variant specified in the error message as well as what company you were working in when the error occurred.
